This paper presents initial results of a research towards statistical description of diversity-combined wireless signals that propagate over different environments. This kind of situation is encountered when receiver has multiple input antennas which are positioned in such a way that the fading environment cannot be considered uniform for all propagating paths of signals. We consider a three-input selection combining (SC) combiner with three different fading statistics on each of them, and deriv ...

In this paper, an application of the Stochastic Mellin Transforms (SMTs) in determination of the probability distribution functions (PDFs) of the Stochastic Volatility (SV) models is proposed. In that aim, three basic SV time series with Gaussian innovations have been considered, and their PDFs were obtained by using the inverse SMT formula.

A new proper generalization of metric called as θ -metric is introduced by Khojasteh et al. (Mathematical Problems in Engineering (2013) Article ID 504609). In this paper, first we prove the Caristi type fixed point theorem in an alternative and comparatively new way in the context of θ -metric. We also investigate two θ -metrics on CB(X) (family of nonempty closed and bounded subsets of a set X). Furthermore, using the obtained θ -metrics on CB(X) , we prove two new fixed point results for mult ...

In this paper we introduce dislocated and dislocated quasi version of a cone b-metric space over a Banach algebra as well as weak semi α-admissible and α-identical pair of mappings and prove common fixed point theorems for a pair of α-identical and weak α-admissible mappings in the aforesaid spaces. Our results are supported with suitable examples and an application to a system of m-tupled functional equations.

Many authors used the concept of F−contraction introduced by Wardowski in 2012 in order to define and prove new results on fixed points in complete metric spaces. In some later papers (for example Proinov P.D., J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. (2020)22:21, doi:10.1007/s11784-020-0756-1) it is shown that conditions (F2) and (F3) are not necessary to prove Wardowski’s results. In this article we use a new approach in proving that the Picard–Jungck sequence is a Cauchy one. It helps us obtain new Jungck ...

In this paper, we prove a unique common coupled fixed point theorem for two pairs of w-compatible mappings in Sb -metric spaces. We also furnish an example to support our main result.

In this paper, we introduce the (C,Ψ∗,G) class of contraction mappings using C-class functions and some improved control functions for a pair of set valued mappings as well as a pair of single-valued mappings, and prove common fixed point theorems for such mappings in a metric space endowed with a graph. Our results unify and generalize many important fixed point results existing in literature. As an application of our main result, we have derived fixed point theorems for a pair of α -admissible ...

In this paper, we introduce the concept of coincidence best proximity point for multivalued Suzuki-type α -admissible mapping using θ -contraction in b-metric space. Some examples are presented here to understand the use of the main results and to support the results proved herein. The obtained results extend and generalize various existing results in literature

The notion of nonlinear (Fs,L)-contractive multivalued operators is initiated and some related fixed point results are considered. We also give an example to show the validity of obtained theoretical results. Our results generalize many existing ones in the literature.
